Content Design Project Material: USF Directory

The Project:

Building-related signage was needed at the 101 Howard building in downtown San Francisco. After scaling the 5-story building there seemed to be no directory giving any direction to students or visitors. As a result, the idea to create a directory for the University of San Francisco Howard 101 building went underway.

My Role:

Directory design and layout, creating floor-plans, finding amenities and suite numbers, creating the legend.


The Process:

Sketching of the 1,2,4 and 5th-floor plans. Pinpointing every exit, bathroom, locker, fire extinguishers and escape routes on the floor plan in case of emergencies. Addition of visible braille for presentation purposes. Since the 3rd floor belongs to the Target Corporation it was not included in the directory.
